Tips & Strategies

• 1Never use all four directions equally. Sticking to up, left and down (or a two-move cycle) keeps your biggest tile in a corner, which is the foundation of every winning 2048 strategy.
• 2Lock your highest tile in a corner and never move it. Every swipe should either keep it planted or build a wall of descending values so it can merge naturally.
• 3Build a staircase, not a scatter. Arrange tiles in descending order along one edge so smaller tiles always feed into larger ones instead of clogging the board.
• 4Merging a small tile now is almost always better than waiting for a perfect combo later. A clean board gives you room to survive, and space is the real currency in 2048.
• 5When the board gets tight, undo your last swipe mentally - ask which swipe wastes the least space. If no move creates new room, you made a mistake three moves ago, not now.
